“And if you have any sort of mobility problems and literally won’t be able to get to stuff in your tiny Rubik’s cube of an apartment, you can just go fuck yourself!”

This reminds me of arguments in the russian dumas between the 1905 revolution and WW1, where S-D’s and trudoviks counted that if the land of just 30000 top landowners got confiscated, leaving them with still more than enough land, all other peasants in Russia would get their land basically doubled.
All that netting does is direct the baby towards the stairs cliff
We had to read an article in English class a few days ago about a “professor” that is trying to make it possible for people to live in literal dumpsters. Here’s his website btw http://dumpsterproject.org/
Wtf lol. If you told me it was satire I would believe you
This HAS to be a joke
It was actually a bit in a sitcom, but this guy seems to have taken it a little too seriously.
Least dystopian WEF post.
You will own nothing and be happy. You will rent your home, your things, your experiences until at last we can put you into the VR pods and complete the total alienation.

And these are the people who think commieblocks are the worst thing in the universe.
I kinda like the idea of tinyhomes. But only because im a stickler for aesthetics.
I would love a lofted tinyhome with a sunroof, solar power, and a cozy living space.
However… I would prefer a second or a doubling of the size of a typical tinyhome for a space for activities such as fitness and crafts.
But trying to encourage tinyhome living to poor folks or trying to make pod living a thing is awful. Just no.
I currently live in a 900/1000 square foot lofted apartment with a spouse. It’s just enough space for two people.
If anything should be championed about tiny homes, it’s for ecologically friendly living.
As someone who is drowning in books, hell no, tinyhouse would be a nightmare for me. The idea itself centers around basically no room for anything except base necessities. You sleep, shit, cook, eat in one single cramped space. Not unlike a cell actually.
If you get a big pile of books, then yeah.
I should AirBnB a tinyhome someday fora weekend. Maybr ill learn my lesson.
Is this a parody?
No, this is new line they are pushing. I see it more and more often.
Or rather, it’s the oldest story ever, if you can’t fulfill your needs, downgrade your needs! Eat less, work more, lazy peasant! Thing is, they aren’t even peddling the bootstraps nonsense much, they just want all of us to be slaves.
Tbf home sizes are generally too large in America.
For the upper middle class, absolutely. Their suburbs are hellscape, their houses gaping abysses where every family member can isolate and slowly rot away in, wasteful in every sense.
As someone who lives in a 1 bedroom apartment with my girlfriend, it’s less size for me and more price. Prices are just stupid.
I can relate to the first paragraph. And the second one because living is too expensive.
