Hopefully Linus is aware that big tech donates to Rust.
Big tech donates to everything. Rust is more secure and I’m happy to see it replace C. This is a win for imperialized people because the OS that they all have access to is about to become more resistant to espionage.

That doesn’t mean all software written in rust is MIT licensed automatically. I don’t see why the kernel couldn’t continue to be GPLv2 even with a lot of rust code in it.

Rust could change their license to a proprietary one banning the use of the GPL license in projects programmed with rust.
I find that extremely unlikely, especially seeing as if they do that, the community is essentially guaranteed to keep it going with an open source license.
