    That’s interesting. It seems to me like Facebook, who owns Instagram, wants to keep as many users on their site as possible, which means not banning people who do bad things, but they obviously know that they could lose users and PR/investment in their company if bad people get to do as they please, so it seems like they’re trying to kill two birds with one stone by creating that AI. It’ll bring in new rich investors to give them money and it manipulates bad people on their service into at least thinking twice about what they post.

    Friendly reminder that PixelFed is a federated and libre alternative to Instagram. It’s still not feature complete if I recall correctly but it’s not bad at all! I follow the creator on Mastodon.
