Modern progressive liberals only back movements like BLM, because without propagandized black supporters, the rich will lose their struggle hold over the means. While they support these movements, they try to steer the rage back towards liberal pacifism, MLK referred to this as “white moderatism”.
If most liberals knew what liberalism was actually meant to do as an ideology, they’d likely radicalize. But if they don’t challenge liberal propaganda as they do so, they’ll fall into the other function of the liberal ideology. That being the gradual shift to fascism. American politics constantly pushing the window further and further right isn’t a failure of the system, rather it’s liberalism working as intended, and the end goal is total domination of the means of production and everything that relates to it by the 1%.
