Which says absolutely nothing. It would only mean something if the populations were the same, the amount of resistance was the same, the amount of troops on both sides was the same.
If in a desolate Ukrainian village there was no fighting in WW2 and now all of a sudden the village has grown and there is resistance and even 1 person got killed, there is a big increase of people killed by the Russians. Framing it like this is just evil.
Plus it all assumes that both numbers are even remotely true, and not taken out of…sitting apparatus. You know who all these “Independent…”,“Radio free…” work for.
