My car is too old for this surveillance stuff but I do wonder if there’s a small computer (I’m imagining a Raspberry Pi but obviously it wouldn’t be that) that can be flashed, or if not plugged into another device that limits its ability to phone home (
iptables
and the like).I wonder of my Subaru is exposed since the connectivity services use Toyotas. I imagine it has its own employee portal for them to utilize. That also raises the question of what privacy rules are followed, Subarus or Toyotas?
