      That’s something people frequently forget. At the time of the riots, the west’s doctrine for putting down riots was lethal force. In the US at the same time as the TS riot, the National Guard was frequently called in to put down riots.

      This is a picture from the 1980 Miami race riots. But, if you just saw the picture without context, you’d think it was from Vietnam or something.

        The bri’ish used tanks from ww1 to crush workers protests, the US crushed protests from soldiers that fighted on ww1 and did not get paid when they got home, there is dozens of cases of US forces crushing protests on foreign countries, most of them in central and south america, there is recent cases of french forces crushing protests on streets.

        So much for western “democracy”
