    I mean China being socialist or not is mostly a distraction. Why does it matter whether China is socialist or not when you (not you personally) for example ignore the legacy of centuries of slavery, colonialism and the current state of imperialism in African countries at the hand of European and North American countries and then then turn around and say that the sneaky Chinese are trying to trap stupid Africans, who can’t think for themselves, with debt? It is just a facade for the racist and imperialist terminal western brain to justify their attacks on anything that challenges the western hegemony.

      It matters because their argument is that China is just as bad, if not worse, than western countries so therefore we should be opposed to both. I don’t agree with this, but if China truly were the genocidal dystopia they’re portrayed as in the news, their position would make sense.

      The total lack of self awareness that westerners have regarding world politics is inexcusable either way, though.
