Badempanada is a weird mix for me. He is a third worldist, an western leftist, a weird global south larper all at once. Its quite sure from his videos he is no principled marxist but when he is looking mostly at the south american issues he is able to detach from western leftist narratives and come back to the insufferable cracker attitude for any other topics. His holier than thou attitude is to the blame, he wanted give the nuianced analysis but some times comes out missing the mark by a mile. Inability to self correct or retrospect makes him more insufferable. In this post he is denouncing the lefty life stylist who is much bigger loser than a tankie. In other issue he will denounce tankie once again.

I think it was his Uyghur video that was the epitome of this. The absolute rabid “mUh BoTH siDeS” bullshit was infuriating. I couldn’t even get halfway through it, because he just kept harping on and on and on about these 2 strawmen he built in his head - the “everything awesome in China” tankie and the “5 billion dead in China” lib. While he, ofc, was the enlightened centrist in the middle with the “”“”“nuanced”“”" take, while somehow still being pretty much in line with the mainstram narrative (iirc).
Which is a shame, because he definitely has some based content.

He’s a liberal. He just likes Che, and latin America. So he hates everyone the west wants him to hate, except for LatAm socialists.
