Arguing with liberals on the internet this morning, and whenever I make a simple more stance that “I refuse to vote for a genocide facilitator” I’m met by nothing but “what if’s”.

“Ok but what if our choices were XYZ”

“But what if trump does this?”

It doesn’t fuckin matter to me, im not casting my vote for either of them.

If not voting for Harris means I’m voting for Trump, then not voting for Trump means I’m voting for Harris, so libs can shut the fuck up, because I’m not voting for either.

it is interesting that i never see calls from libs for compulsory voting like in Australia, even though it would definitely benefit the Democrats. You’d think that’d be one of their major demands given how important voting is to them.

Part of it is that making any political demands at all, let alone a demand for a structural change that directly solves a problem that they care about, is alien to their political ethos. But I think the larger part is that they actually like that voting is optional, because doing it signals moral superiority and gives them something to chastise the selfish and apathetic over.

order-of-lenin Yes! That is the main thing libs get from engaging in politics. No one recieves anything material from engaging in politics in the US, libs and chuds aren’t even operating under the idea that such a thing is possible. Chuds get to own the libs, and libs get to feel morally superior

Even crazier is how they twist their genocidal islamophobia and racism into a sacrifice for the greater good like in that post that put on yesterday. “If these Palestinian, yemeni etc children die its to preserve democracy.”

The response to that filth is so obvious; if they feel comfortable killing any children, they’ll kill yours tomorrow

Climate change + Genocidal precedent = The biggest imperial boomerang ever conceived

Exactly I keep saying this Palestine etc the middle eastern wars have taken millions of lives. Their disregard for human life are previews to the clusterfuck that will come with climate change.

Ursula K Le Guin: I’m going to imagine a dystopia where most people are happy and carefree but the whole polity is founded on the abject suffering of a single child.

Liberals: Love it, but what if we made it thousands of children and everyone living in the polity was narcissistic, stressed out, and miserable?

“OK but what if your party stopped actively committing genocide?” Either you fucking need my vote or you don’t, and my conditions are clear. Meet them or fuck off forever.

Which is particularly empty this election cycle as we’ve already had one Trump term where he had the house and the senate and a friendly judiciary. If he didn’t do it then, why would he do it now?

Most days I just scroll rather than get into it with libs, it’s actually exhausting having explain the same shit over and over, and once I start it’s hard to stop

I’m close with someone who has severe OCD, and “what if” is the absolute most pernicious time-sucking bullshit when it comes to choosing any course of action. When it comes down to it, What If is utterly meaningless compared to What Is.

    i’m voting for trump.

i mean, i’m not actually voting, but liberals keep telling me that’s a vote for trump. you know, because they’re entitled to my time and my vote and all that, and if i don’t give that to them, it means i’m giving it to “the other side” with 98% identical policies

The problem with this election, and most elections in the US, is that the candidates generally have the same idea, the only thing they say is that they will do better than the other. And those ideas are genocide, attacking minorities (whether they are U.S. or foreign) and maintaining the empire at all costs.

If Kamala said: “No, I think Biden was wrong to support Israel and Ukraine. Like most Democrats, we need to be better than the Republicans”. Maybe that would inspire people to actually vote for her, but no. She’s a high-ranking member of the Biden regime and doesn’t even pretend to care about Palestine or minorities. She’s literally scolding voters, basically saying she’s the obvious best choice because she does the bare minimum to be respectful and not say bad things about her opponents. It’s as if Democrats think they deserve to win because they see Republicans as too rude and open about being fascists. The Democratic party foreign policy is to the right of the Libertarian Party lol.
