Wow, I thought that must be an altered photo, but no, it’s real. Over on wikimapia someone claims (without evidence) that it’s “Buildings built to resemble Allied Bombers attacking the Nazis”; meanwhile the Navy said it was an accident and falsely claimed not to have seen a plan for the “four L-shaped buildings” next to eachother.

Does it really matter? Nobody is looking at that building from above and that design allows the building to be pretty open.
