The establishment politicians in DC have been absolutely chomping at the bit for war with Iran ever since Trump reneged on the nuclear deal. This is really dumb because unlike Iraq/Afghanistan, Iran is a big country with a serious military backing it. We would need material allied support in such a conflict, and Biden’s “ironclad” stance on Israel has burned bridges rapidly across the globe. If this is the basis for a new war, I suspect it will cause a massive political rift.

Back down you old fools. If it goes hot, GenZ will not be signing up to save your asses with boots on the ground.

“The US Navy currently has no defense against hypersonic missiles” needs to be a little memorable bit of wisdom in the same way “The Hamptons are not a defensible location” is.

A lot of people in this thread demonstrating that they have a child’s understanding of the world and only knee jerk reaction levels of media literacy.

This is not Biden threatening to start a war with Iran. This is Biden doing what he can to stop a war between Israel and Iran from happening, which would almost assuredly pull other countries into it.

If you think Biden is trying to start a war with Iran, then I want you to know you are a smooth brained child who no one takes seriously.

I dont think Biden is trying to start a war, I think he is a Zionist who will plunge the world into a Trump presidency through his inability to grow a spine in relation to the US’ support for a genocide

The scenario you invision, where Biden stops weapons sales to Israel. Do you really think that automatically forces Netanyahu to stop? You have no guarantee of that, and it could very well cause the opposite effect to happen.

I dont care if it stops him, it will stop support for genocide.

He can carry on by other means but where the support comes from is important.

Cant believe this is even a point you chose to make, one step from “someone has to profit from this”

If he don’t want that he should just stop his Tel-Aviv rabid dogs from attacks on everyone around, like even fucking Reagan of all people managed to do, but he won’t do that.

The prime minister of Israel at that time was Menachem Begin, a Nobel peace prize recipient who thought his political survival was tied to a good relationship with the US. Netanyahu thinks his political survival is tied to something very different.

People love sharing the Regan story, but we only know that happened 40 years after the fact once things have been declassified. None of us know what Biden is doing behind the scenes right now.

I don’t think we can trust your explanation. It might be accurate at this exact moment, but he’s been all over the place on Palestine over the past six months. Who knows what his stance will be six months from now.

For people like me who was only a child when 911 happened this is a lot of the context we missed out on.

    Edit:

When you’re in the voting booth in November remember, if you don’t want to make the choice the onus is on you to act. I’m not saying by voting; though we could vote our way into a new party if we banded togehter. Which is seemingly unlikely. No, it is up to you to be the change you want to see and stop accepting the the status quo. Otherwise, if there even is another November considering the GOPs intention, the will ballot will look exactly the same in 4 years.
