From my experience no luck is needed, just ample amounts of flux.
yeah, having completed one half now, smd soldering is actually easier than i imagined it would be 😅

it’s kind of janky, but it has temperature control, idle detection, and it has that newer heating elements so it gets up to 300C in like a couple of seconds, everything i need basically
Do you have an instructable or something? I could probably cobble it together from notes, but a DIY soldering iron sounds fantastic!
