Spectacle got lot of huge improvements, since I last used it almost 2 years ago. I did a bit of entitled rant in Reddit (which I should have not!), but now all of the points are addressed and I finally replaced flameshot. How can you not love KDE?
Manual session saving now works on Wayland.
mhm? I am using manual session already since Plasma 6.0. And it was already working on Wayland, at least for me. So this is not really new in 6.1, unless I misunderstand whats is being talked about here.
Dude that feature is one of the very few things I miss from windows! Glad to see we’re getting it now!
Which feature exactly do you mean?
If you move your curser to the corner of a screen in Windows, it will stop at the corner instead of moving to the next screen. It makes it easier to click on, for example, the close button.
Good to see a lot of stuff getting done, but I REALLY wish they would work on fixing their update methods on Neon. Discover still won’t open, and I can’t use pkcon because of a dependency issue with kio-extras5 that I don’t know how to fix (rather than install anything, pkcon just exits with a fatal error if it notices a problem with any package it would update… Leaving a backlog of other packages that could have been updated otherwise 😑). I can only use apt full-upgrade at this point. If someone at least knows how to fix the kio-extras5 issue, that would be great.
I’m also amazed at how the Neon QA team (if one exists?) missed the fact that the update broke the Shut Down button. No worries, I can just shutdown via KRunner - oops, that doesn’t work either anymore
Damn they fixed the “autohide panel between screens” bug!
