Thus is the weakness of states that rely solely on nationalism to sustain and justify their existence instead of actual, concrete beliefs backed by extensive theory. People might seem invested and loyal on the surface but for the majority it’s really just a big spectacle and a way to gain social points. It’s a big reason reason why the Bolsheviks and CPC were able to overcome their nationalist counterparts against all odds.
