It’s an interesting poem but it’s quite hard to read for the non Portuguese. My interpretation is about how there’s power in numbers. We might not be able to do much as individuals, but as a group we can empower ourselves. We can do so much if we all band together. We can liberate each and every one of us, get rid of the old and start anew.

In libre culture, I’d say this idea is very important. We don’t need to live in a world where Mark Zuckerberg has the ability to destroy lives. We can, but only as a collective, though we don’t need to be that big, get rid of the people and businesses that hurt us.

The best way to do this, as I’ve seen, is to build alternatives that people want to use. We need to change our own lifestyles to support our ideology. We need to point people who are hurting because of the system in our direction, so they can discover the free world for themselves.

While we cannot liberate everyone, and not everyone wants to be liberated, we can build our alternatives anyways, and liberate those of us who see the world for what it is and want to liberated, but it requires collective action. We don’t need to be big, just big enough.

    Let us not wait! Vamos!

Você está certo, não precisamos ser grandes, mas podemos ser luminosos, úteis, solidários para o mundo ao redor. Isso!

I completely agree! More people need to remember this!
