Tesla drivers say they have been locked out of their cars after an outage struck the carmaker’s app.

Dozens of owners posted on social media about seeing an error message on the mobile app that was preventing them from connecting to their vehicles.

This will happen to banks as well as more and more people have their credit cards on their phone.

Thanks I prefer cash it even works if there is no power.

Edit: I changed the title, the BBC implies that all or near all drivers couldn’t start their car but it’s just those who start it with the app.

    Only a matter of time until that would happen. Now imagine the outage had happened on the road

      To be fair, I don’t think the car would turn off if it lost connection with the phone while driving. At least I hope not.
