Safari is holding back the web. It is the new IE, after all. In contrast, Chrome is pushing the web forward so hard that it’s starting to break. Meanwhile web developers do nothing except moan and complain. The only thing...
Gee, thanks for asking. uh, let me try again, so that i can formulate a decent question. Is there any easy way for me to bookmark this so I can find easily in a few days?
I did try the extension and saw the KeePassXC logo show near/at the login fields, but they didn’t automatically get entered. i’ll try again. De-Googling (not using chrome browsers) seems like a huge deal in the fight for freedom of speech and information!
Ah, you want it to auto-fill on page load. You need to tick the checkbox “Automatically fill in single-credential entries” in the extension’s settings page.
Be careful with auto-fill on page load. People manged to steal passwords thanks to this in the past. Also websites with auto-fill will know who you are even if you are not logged in.
is there a solution? an encrypted password manager? I use a different password for almost every site, but still worry. Is KeePass good enough? I’ve had a lot of trouble setting it up, but haven’t given up on the idea yet.
I do actually use KeePassXC with Firefox via their browser extension and that wasn’t too hard to setup, if I remember correctly.
Do you have a specific problem?
