I was just trying to flag down a 500GB 7,200RPM SATA disk at a REASONABLE price and FINALLY ordered a “Used-Acceptable” unit from Amazon ringing up at $18.14 before taxes.

PCLiquidations not only lost that sale and let’s be honest here they probably didn’t care about that but I am also left with I am not kidding like $300 or so worth of used hardware on me including a HP laptop (without the HDD) that I am now unable to sell off.

I am gonna try to instead see if I can find anybody who can benefit from them but that’s removing a fair bit of used hardware from the market.

Which I am completely frustrated, what if you wanted to build a “used system” from scratch? Good luck finding a used quality CPU/APU, SSD, HDD, cables, RAM Modules, Power Supply, etc.

This is utterly ridiculous that I couldn’t find readily available stocks for the reliable hardware I was seeking for.

It’s indeed confusing that I am seeking for 2.5" drives considering that they are frequently labeled as “Laptop drives” HOWEVER rest assured that I am not gonna use them into such.

The reason that I am seeking such is because I have a 5.25" high quality hot swappable 2x2.5" drive caddies. It’s got the works of rubber stabilizing mounts and all so I was very surprised of this unit and uses it for LVM RAID 1ing for my mass storage needs and backing up offsite data as a 3rd backup mean. Just in case “hell breaks loose” as saying goes.
