You could have: made direct investments in the Chinese economy for 3 years, found a full-time job at the level of an assistant manager or factory director, made an outstanding contribution to China, been a minor or moved back to China to take care of your elderly parents (family reunification).
China’s system is efficient because there’s no opposition and the government has the legal powers to do anything.
