    We’re talking about a picture of tracks that are in an atrocious state of disrepair. And I guarantee you that there are plenty of tracks all over the US that look exactly like this today.

      Well when theres tens of thousands of miles of track in the usa, so that isn’t surprising. Theres always going to be shit tracks like this somewhere, its the nature of the earth to move around The important thing is to make sure theres no hazardous materials going down them.

        I think the bigger picture is that infrastructure needs proper maintenance, and that’s certainly not the case in US https://infrastructurereportcard.org/

        You’re right though, that the bare minimum is not to cut corners while shipping hazardous materials.
