Seriously, I am not defending the West, which is far from being a real democracy, but neither can I defend China with the current president, it is a dictatorship with obvious violations of human rights and censorship and surveillance that I would not want here. Communism is based on the sovereignty of the people and China is currently far from this, with the only sovereignty being that of its leader.

Good question, I know what I can do on a personal level and with respect to close people, but given the inherent stupidity of a large part of the population, who believes what this nice man says on TV or the priest, a short-term solution term is going to be difficult.
On the other hand we are getting closer, given the danger of a world war and rampant climate change, that this system by itself is going to fall, but unfortunately not necessarily in the way we would like.
