I’m surprised they’re even federated by default but we should have an option to block instances from All if lemmy is deadset on federating with them just because they are fascists with a red and yellow flag…

This is the unfortunate result of lemmy having no firmly declared political stance. A supposedly leftist project that permits anyone to make their own instance, up to and including fascists, is not leftist. It’s liberal. The main lemmy instance is itself painfully liberal, to the point of being outright fascistic, as we see in this thread.
Yeah, I’ve never interacted with them but have been told as much. I just don’t have as much tolerance for this gestures at the lemmy thread about us.
As others have said in this thread, these libs are unwilling to allow communists to have even our own, obscure platform. It wasn’t enough to chase us off reddit, they have to come here and extirpate us from a site that was created specifically for leftists. (whatever the fuck a leftist is at this juncture).
