These soldiers had to be evacuated, and thus were out of service for a significant time (maybe even permanently).
Most of the 39 soldiers suffered traumatic brain injuries in the attack
“The person I was prior to a traumatic brain injury, he’s gone,” Kvasager told CBS News. “There’s parts that remain. The pieces are all still there, just — yeah, he’s not coming back.”
I dont understand what your problem is. If you make statements about other countries, you ahould at least know the basics, like their names or geographic locations. Its good if you want to learn, but thats not what your previous comment sounded like.
About weakness of the US military, the most obvious example was last years humiliating defeat in Afghanistan (basically Vietnam 2.0). That was after 20 years of building up their proxy army, and fighting against people armed with little more than AKs and IEDs.
Another problem is with the development of new weapon systems. The F35 is getting more expensive by the day, and is still not combat ready. Development of hypersonic missiles seems to make very little progress. These are already used in combat by Russia. And in general, a lot of the equipment is still from the cold war era and quite outdated (Abrams tank for example).
