Ok so this is something I’ve been wondering, do you guys think all cops are bad people or just the system, or all cops are bad because they are part of the system

Ultimately, good and bad are moral categories and obviously to the Marxist standard, it’s not adequate to position oneself that way, but whether “good” or “bad” cops exist is irrelevant, the police institution is repressive by its very nature. The “good cops” tend to be placed in office work or patrolling in wealthy white neighborhoods, while the most racist putrid pieces of shit go to the poor neighborhoods, at least that would be my guess taking Brazil as a standard.

Here we have two types of cops, the ones who dont do shit, and the ones who doe shit, both are bad, we should need to choose between people who dont want to doe their job or literally cant for lack of proper equipment, and literal deathsquads with guns, they are not peacekeepers, they are exterminator squads.

What is your immediate, gut reaction when you see a cop? Is it joy that there is a defender of the peace, or dread that you may somehow become the focus of their attention? Growing up, the arrival of cops meant someone’s miserable existance was about to become infinitely worse, or a bad situation was going to spiral out of control. Those who have, tolerate them when convenient; those who have not, do not trust them.

The system, which a crap ton of cops support or refuse to fight against. And even if they don’t, being a part of the force is supporting the oppression of the working class since that’s the purpose of the system

Though obviously believing that literally ACAB (as there are probably some who are completely unaware and never put in a position to do shitty things) is undialectic, can simply point to Yeakey as a famous counterexample (the cop who got assassinated for investigating the OKC bombings because he realized the feds had something to do with it) or Dorner as others have said

But these people are probably so few that saying fuck all of them wouldn’t necessarily be wrong

I would say that it is because of the system that selects bad people to become cops and reward bad behaviors that serve corrupted government officers or rich spoiled manchild. There could be few good cops that go against the system, but who could be as hard working and innovative as the fictional Communist masterminds in the fantasy world of the Capitalist propaganda of paranoid fear? The real definition of Capitalism is state police intervention to serve a few rich free riders.
