I set one up following this guide on a VPS for chatting with friends. It’s encrypted and makes a really nice option for a private chat solution.

    I found the Linux client just worked for me. I just added my server and that was it.

            mumble from my experience provides the better audio quality. The problem is that bad hardware is more prominent since it doesn’t use a bunch of filters like discord. If you’re Hardware is good quality, discord will sound worse from what I experienced

        Yeah, I didn’t do any additional config for the audio. The defaults seemed to work alright for my setup. I did notice it has some toggles for noise cancellation, etc. And yeah different options are kinda neat, I set mine to just use continuous. I’m using a headset with mine btw, so there isn’t much of an issue with feedback noise.
