I’m not sure. Windows coming preinstalled on PC’s has a huge effect on market share. There are very few devices that are ever sold with Linux preinstalled.
It’ll always be great to see more desktop development, but I’m not sure if it’s the best solution out there, but I suppose it might be the best we have. Only, it’s going to take forever to get to where we’d like to be.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that there might be a faster way to the top, especially if you consider the popularity of Chromebooks.
When you’re literally their customer and they still feel the need to make you the product.
I know, right? I actually work at a store that makes their customers the product as well. They actually sold data about me to Facebook…
It’s like Microsoft charging for Windows yet making it one of the most invasive operating systems out there. Plain ol’ greed.
