China always prevents India from becoming a veto state in UN, and so India has to see that after decoupling from USA/West hegemon, they do not become a consumer market economy tool for China. This is essential when you look at the dynamics between India-Russia, Russia-China and China-India. All 3 differ subtly. On the other hand, India and China vote same on issues in UN 80% of the times.
One thing between all this is clear though, India will decouple with West at some point. It is a question of when, not if.
