Should there be an admin approval system for first posts, or something similar to slow down such attempts?

    Lemmy should require a minimum of time (or “karma”) before allowing to post or comment in any instance

        either there has to be a minimum time for account creation of be able to post (which can be circumvented) or you can post one article and then have to wait for upvotes (which can be circumvented)

        Nice one, I was inaccurate. But you could gain it by completing some security or profile steps or with upvotes or comments, something that requires time in general

            Shadowbans require constant moderation and can easily be abused by ‘powermods’ to silence objective opinions.

            That’s one of the reasons reddit is so awful.
