  • Yeah if you guys want it I totally think it’s a great way to get people checking in. Only thing is, for the time being, I don’t know a way to implement this (besides doing manual posts with pins as OP mentions). We can start off making posts without a bot as automation is a bit tricky for me on this site ATM. If someone can help out with this, that would be greatly appreciated since my knowledge is very limited. Of course, I’ll also look into how we can make this work and find a chance to consult the other mods.

I figured I should share my own as well. Seems selfish only being on the receiving end of these things!

Plastic Memories OP [Ring of Fortune]

The anime was nice. For me personally, it impacted how I enjoyed the show, especially as it progressed towards the end.

    SAO II ED 3 [Shirushi]

This one really hit the feels. It started being used near the end of the season, I believe, for an additional arc. This ED theme was dedicated to a particular character, and it was so soothing and emotional to listen to, even more so in relation to the story. It also takes me back to some good memories in the past.

    Sakamichi no Apollon (Multiple songs)

Ok, so this is an anime revolving around jazz music. First of all, because many of the OSTs were jazz arrangements, it’s important to note that they are, in fact, arrangements. These arrangements were done by none other than the legend Yoko Kanno, the music composer of Cowboy Bebop. This also means that she wasn’t the original creator, however. Those credits belong to historical jazz legends such as Chet Baker, John Coltrane, Bill Evans, and many more. Of course, there are original songs here too! I didn’t list a particular song here, because I liked almost all of them. Nevertheless, I’ll give an honourable mention to the ED, Altair. The pieces were very pleasant, and were essentially a bulk of the significance, substance, body, and essence of the anime.

    Noragami Aragoto OP [Hey Kids!]

    Cool.

Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad (Multiple songs)

This one’s, dare I say, underrated. Not that many people seem to know about this show. The reason for this could also be credited to the fact that it aired in 2004. Anyways, this anime is about rock music and, similar to Sakamichi no Apollon, references many musicians found in our real world. The soundtracks are great, most of which are performed by the band in the anime called “Beck”. I will also mention a song that stood out to me: Chiemi Kuniyoshi - Genki wo Dashite. This song cheers you up, and it was listened to by the main character during a despairing time. The scene of him sitting in his room, in the dark, blasting this song was a real mood to say the least. However, this song is not rock, it’s a complete outlier from the rest of the tracks :) The OP is very catchy as well. Note: as of now, I’m still watching the show, I’m about halfway through. I’m sure I will find many more great tracks in this show.

I’m sure that there are many many more that I don’t remember at the moment, but here’s what I came up with for the time being. Also I don’t want to write too much as I already have.

  • Lol, I was surprised by some of the similarities we shared after reading your reply. However, I should mention that I didn’t get through any Alicization light novels xD.

If you ever find the time, I highly recommend you watch the characters truly come to life in the anime! The sound, the colours, it’s magic.

Danmachi is also special to me too. And, if you didn’t already know, Bell and Kirito share the same voice actor!

PS: Thanks for taking the time for this discussion, I am happy to see this community out and about.
