I honestly love systemd and everything it brought to the table with it, I use systemd software all the time - timesync, boot, resolv, everything really. Timers are nice too. I even use systemd-user to start my user session and all the user daemons.
You usually get about an hour to do your shopping, plus big supermarkets like Esselunga would still be open, you just had to make the trip. I guess there’s always a lunch break, a pizza place next to a place I used to live in only opened from 14:00 to 17:00, and there would always be a long line (because they had very good pizza)
When I lived in Italy it always caught me off guard how every business closed up shop after 18:00, the city looked dead past these hours. I’m used to shops and markets being open 24/7, and it was a vast contrast. But I liked it in the long run, people should have their off hours.
Valve’s been a blessing to all of us, it’s really hard to overestimate the effect they had on Linux gaming as a whole
Here in Armenia all tap water is drinkable as is
It’s like if Twitter was a thematical forum and worked like an email
Me. See, Voat ended up like it did because of the blatant bias of banning. I hope Lemmy would get all kinds of people here to stay, not just one political leaning or subset. The federation sure looks like a good solution for this, since one can simply ban a whole instance they don’t like and be done. As long as we all have an interest in Lemmy it should’t become an echo chamber.
Man, this isnt just evil, that’s stupid and lazy evil
