It does make me wonder if JK is actually asexual herself, and feels shame about it. Like how men who claim that “being gay is a choice” often feel that way because they consciously forced themselves to be straight despite their attraction to other men.

Thanks Ada. It’s exhausting (emotionally and spiritually) to try to keep up with the ways in which people express their hate for us, but it’s certainly essential for keeping ourselves safe, so I’m thankful to have learned something new.

I gave up in the first episode when a pair of cops drew their firearms, and the one said to the other “safeties off”. And the other cop just brushes the slide release because he was holding a Glock, which famously does not have a safety. I just couldn’t take it seriously after that.

I got HSV-2 after my longtime partner cheated on me, and it’s absolutely miserable. I wouldn’t recommend anyone take it as lightly as some people do. During the first outbreak I couldn’t pee at all because it was blocking my urinary tract, and it felt like I had a horrible flu. I get outbreaks constantly and they’re so painful that it’s hard to sit at my computer at work. The daily pills are massive and give me a stomach ache, and only reduce the frequency of the outbreaks but don’t prevent them entirely.

I never asked for this, I was never promiscuous, I only did not use protection because we were in a monogamous relationship for 4 years. Dating is hard enough because I’m trans and ugly, so I’ve resigned myself to just never having sex again.

As someone who literally slept under a bridge to escape a horrible home, I can confirm!
