Depends on what else you’re looking for but there are others that host applications for you. And you could look into some of the hosting services that offer “one click” deployment of apps. I don’t use them myself, but they do exist.
As someone still new to self hosting, I highly recommend the diy route. It’s been a very rewarding learning opportunity for me.
Pop!_OS is neat. I’ve been running it on my desktop and laptop for over a year now. I like that it doesn’t look like Windows and has enough difference to it to not be a macOS clone either. Plus I think System76 is doing some great things with hardware design.
