  • I have the same issue. My workplace uses Google to store their documents which need to be accessed on a daily basis. I use Firefox for my personal web browsing and Brave for Google or work related stuff. Isolating Google/work stuff from my personal browsing has been working for me. I also use Thunderbird if I only need to open or send an email via Google. Brave has ad and telemetry blocking options and you can (for now) still use Ublock origin.

The first game that made me notice this and led me on to studying film making in University was Silent Hill (1999). Excellent use of camera angles and movement to give tension to the player and restrict the players vision of what they can see on the screen. At the time when Resident Evil was using static camera angles, Silent Hill introduced a more cinematic style to video games and Enhanced it even more in SH 2 and 3.

Yeah, it seems like it will provide a lot more functionality for me than just a handheld gaming device. I already have a personal laptop that’s not very old. I’m looking forward to getting a Steam Deck but maybe not until next year.

I really want to buy a Steam Deck but even with this sale, I can’t justify the purchase to myself. I still use my PS Vita as there are a lot of games on there that I haven’t played yet (Vita, PSP, some PS1 and ports) and I still have a working PS3 with games I’ve yet to play! Once the PS3 no longer functions, Steam Deck will be bought!

I’ve only been using Linux for around 3 years. I hopped around for a while, ignoring the people who suggested using Mint, to eventually be using Mint daily on a work laptop. On a personal laptop I’m using FerenOS and I’ve come to realise that my of choice are derivatives of Debian and Ubuntu. I’m considering a future laptop for Debian stable and will stick to what I know and what I’ve learned. I just want to use my laptops now so sticking to what I know saves me from encountering new issues.

  • Silent Hill. I played it multiple times on the PS1, attempting to get all the endings, continued to play it on PS2 and at least once or twice a year since. I play it on my PS Vita, my laptop or my phone these days. I sometimes have all 3 going at different stages of the game. Something just calls me back to Silent Hill…
