I tend to only be critical when talking to other leftists, But when talking to anyone else I tend to only talk about the good things. It’s like when trolls review bomb a movie on IMDB so that it has a score of 2.2, while I think it’s actually an 8, but I will rate it a 10 to try and balance it out.

Just because a country is communist doesn’t mean they will automatically be better for the environment. However a communist country is better equipped and more willing to take actions to solve these real problems.
I’ve read some religious texts and I was not liking what I was reading. There is some of the most fucked up batshit stuff in religious texts.
I think it’s better to respect the religious person and criticize the religion. Otherwise can’t you say the same thing about liberalism or social democracy? Leftists shit on liberals, social democrats, anarchists all the time, they absolutely do not show the person any respect.
They aren’t concentration camps. The area had an issue with terrorist attacks, so the Chinese government being marxist leninists used materialist analysis to determine that poverty caused people to turn to violent ideologies, so they worked extra hard to give the people in the area an education, these centers they went to were essentially just schools, not concentration camps. In addition to this they worked on improving the infrastructure in the area.
Also something most people don’t know is that these extremist groups were recruiting people on Facebook and the CPC asked facebook to do something about it and they refused, so then China banned Facebook from the country.
It’s fine to feel the way you are feeling, but trust me time heals all wounds, it will take a while you but you will get back to normal eventually
I always thought class was the primary contradiction and all the identity stuff were separate issues, as in once there is a revolution there can still be issues faces by certain types of people. Like just because a country is now socialist doesn’t make literally all problems and contradictions go away. For example western liberal democracies have better rights for lgbtq people compared to China, or the mentality that having a baby boy is better than having a baby girl. This type of thinking is very common in certain parts of China to this day, even after the revolution.
Also the fact that so many proletariats are being pushed to the right can be a reflection of the failure of the left to reach out to the working class, so I agree with your point of not talking down to people with reactionary views. The left is so quick to call people with reactionary views literal Nazis as a strawman so they can absolve themselves of trying to remove those views.

He is a piece of shit” on thedeprogram subreddit about a post praising him and I got mass downvoted and mass reported for harassment and bullying, while on that same subreddit you have posts saying certain people should be bullied more. and I’m now permanently banned from Reddit entirely…
So the number one reason he is a piece of shit is him and his followers mass report anyone who calls him out. He also supported the Hong Kong rioters, supports Ukraine, believes Russia and China are imperialist, believes the Chinese are cultural genociding the Uyghurs, and had that entire feud with BayArea415 and likely got him doxxed. The casual anti-Semitism, bullying people on twitter, etc. Just because he has some good takes on some Latin American countries doesn’t absolve him of all the other shit.
