This is true, but these subs needs some active moderation and promotion to grow. I’d happily hand stuff off to get a more diverse group of mods once there’s more going on.
I’m digging around, checking it out. I tested posting from Mastodon, etc. It seems like a kinda quiet corner of the fediverse… which I expect might change fast pretty soon. I hope so, at least.
I’m pretty cheesed about the changes Reddit is making, particularly to their API. I’m a long-time user of rif is fun. It’s not clear how the changes will impact that app specifically, but the steps they’re taking are clearly following in Twitter’s footsteps and I’m already migrating off of there.
I think corporate social media is under huge pressure to generate money, since they aren’t growing massively anymore (because they reached market saturation).
And they’re good at making money short term. Sucks for the users.

If I’m rejected, so be it.
I mean I don’t see the harm in you modding inactive subs, but it was a bit funny to me ^^
I aim to amuse.
welcome to lemmy btw, hope you like it so far.

It would be nice. It has been varying degrees of quiet here for a long time.
