On April 15, Germany will shut down its last remaining nuclear power plants, marking the end of the country's more than 60-year foray into nuclear power and a long-time era of Franco-German cooperation.
Not so simple, even if they turn off the nuclear power plants, they will have another 20-30 years left until they have dismantled and decontaminated these plants, this is going to cost them billions and also with thousands of tons of radioactive debris, which, like the rest waste so far no one knows where to put it safely for the next 30,000 generations.
Like Italy (but we’re a special human species) where we are still paying billions to keep running (while dismantling them at the same time) our power plants which never produced a single kWh
