Hey guys, I signed up to celebrate my home country of Taiwan and talk to other English speaking Taiwanese people there. and my account was banned. In the mod log it says I was an alt account with chinanumberone, my user name was taiwannumba1.

I don’t know anything about chinanumberone and feel this was really racist. I created a Taiwan community and only posted there. Why would you assume a Taiwanese account is the same as a Chinese account?

We are two different countries.

Please reinstate my account because as you see I had to make a taiwannumber2 account. which is humiliating because I genuinely believe Taiwan to be the number 1 country.

Do the site Admins here hate Taiwanese people or something?

How would you like it If someone banned you because of the country you are from?

    To be clear to anyone reading this: It has been determined that this user (and their previous account) are most likely alt accounts of a troll (@ChinaNumberOne) who has had multiple instances of posting rule breaking content involving bigotry. You can see the reasons for removal in the modlog.

    Posting content supporting Taiwan is in and of itself not against the rules.

      Hi, taiwannumba3 here. My only alt accounts are taiwannumber2 and taiwannumba1 which you have banned incorrectly stating that they are alts of chinanumber1.

      You didn’t compare emails or IP addresses. You know how I know? Because that wasn’t me.

        First of all, IP addresses mean almost nothing for verifying who someone is because of VPNs and TOR. Emails don’t either since we don’t actually have a verification system in place, nor any other way of tying emails to their actual owners. We based our determination on account behaviour including the style of the writing in your posts.

        Also, Nutomic (one of two admins who control the server) confirmed this: We don’t store what IP addresses which account logged in from and you can’t even create two accounts with the same email (you can make accounts without specifying emails, though).

          This is absurd, That wasn’t me. Come up with a new system. Why do you keep banning me? Do you hate Taiwanese people that much? Just because you were born in mainland? You live in Canada now. Why don’t you get over it?
