Imagine not only admitting your father was a fascist (is a fascist?) but also being proud of it while demonizing Palestinians.

Imagine admitting proudly that your father “fought” against Palestinians at Sabra and Shatila where some of the most gruesome and horrific massacres and atrocities against defenseless Palestinian civilians were committed…

That’s the part that gets me the most. Like, I understand not wanting to talk badly about your father, especially if you have a good relationship, but at that point just don’t talk about it? He could’ve just kept his mouth shut, and you can love your dad and still acknowledge that the war he participated in was bad. Obviously we’re not responsible for what our family has done but you kind of are when you boast about it (I’m looking at you Chrystia Freeland).

“My own family has experience with jewish terrorism. My father was part of the SS and had to defend themselves from jews in Warsaw. There is a lot of truth in what germans say about the jews.”

He’s one of the many (thankfully, I think, dwindling number) American (or Canadian, who cares, same shit) dumbass “leftists” who only actually ever talk about politics as if it’s a giant drama narrative, a game of sorts, and only ever advocate for (if American, but apply as needed elsewhere) Americans to have healthcare, free college, etc. Which to be clear are obviously absolutely necessary services that every country should provide without condition. However, ask him about the issue of Palestinian liberation… and oh boy. He’s not particularly unique amongst western-living, western-indoctrinated, etc. “left leaning” folks in that they support progressive agendas at home (but not too progressive you commie!) but their policies towards foreign affairs is basically on par with Adolf fucking Hitler. Imperialism abroad, drug-fueled orgies at home. Some of the most annoying and disgusting people.

And the Western European diaspora even think that Indigenous First Nation people in the stolen land have the same free-riding luxury life as European immigrants just because the First Nation people need to endure planned stravation and chemical attacks in the federal reserves to get a few of the basic rights that Western European diaspora take for granted like land ownership right, rent collection right, debt collection right, and right for reparation for crimes especially from the 150 years of child enslavement, murder, and inheritance thief in Indian Residential fake Schools which might still continue in secret.

If this in actual inquiry. They were awful murderous, genocidal, decrepit creatures. The Christians of Lebanon (maronites) dominated politics since the French took over the region. They applied strict ethnic-religious apartheid against non-Christians, and barred minorities from taking high position jobs within society, even some towns were strictly meant for Christian maronites only.

The 1967 war, and expulsion of Palestinians from their homeland into neighbouring regions changed the demographic makeup for lebanon, no longer was it a Christian dominated country, but now a Muslim one. So the minorities began protesting for greater equal rights, the state began shooting, and many of these created militias went into Palestinian refugee camps, and burned every single one of them, trying to cull the muslim population into being a minority again.

Many of these militias belonged to the falangist ideology, some I remember even advocated for neo-Nazism. In short the Christian militias were fascists whom were funded and supported by the west.

The Lebanese Phalanges Party, a right-wing political party.

[Pierre] Gemayel [the founder] never denied his desire to replicate the youth organizations of Nazi Germany, and the name was taken from Francisco Franco’s (1892–1975) Falange Española, a fascist political party.

[In 1982] Bashir Gemayel was elected president of Lebanon, but he was assassinated before he took office. After his assassination, militias loyal to the Lebanese Forces (a collation of right-wing militias under the control of the Phalanges) entered the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps and massacred hundreds of Palestinians (and some Lebanese) civilians.

Sounds about right, that’s basically why I followed so many breadtubers in the beginning (especially as a teen) but now I’ve been on my own purge.
