I think Yahweh and Jesus were two different figures (as to my knowledge I don’t recall Jesus preaching about war that much), but I didn’t know he was a god of Metallurgy. All I knew about him was that he was a God of War.
Oh, no, he did. “I came here to cause division, and make fathers fight their sons”, “he who has a cloak and not a sword, sell tje cloak and buy a sword”… Etc.
But the figure of Yahweh evolved a lot by the time of the already Hellenized Jewish that it was unrecognizable.
But is there not context behind those statements? Like, a reason for him to say those? Surely he didn’t decide to just one day, out of the blue, talk about causing wars and buying weapons and stuff.
The context? Search for it. But Jesus was basically Johnstown guru 1/1,all this “loving and equality” thing it is being repeated by apologists and their parrots that didn’t read the source material and trusted the priest at face value. But Jesus was not a nice guy in any sense. Just a theocracist hierophant.
Edit:
Searching for it, I ended up with this post, which is pretty funny to look at.
Oh, did you know that YHWH (Jesus daddy) is a Canaanite god of metallurgy?

Wow.
