Hi, I need to help choose server for beginner. I want to selfhost together for example : friendica, pixelfed, matrix, invidious, website (not for public), email, search engine and try different plugins and bridges It should be just somthing personal for me to learn how to use decentralized software and be independent from big tech.
Do you want to know with which provider you should host your services? Or which OS to choose? What are your requirements? What is your monthly budget? In which country do you want to host?

I don’t agree with the part about Matrix. For me the database of Synapse is 113 Mb, I have federation enabled… But XMPP needs even less space, that’s true (I have that too! :-)) Hosting your own e-mail is a pain, but not impossible. It took me months to figure it out though, and I had to make some compromises (I am using my Domain-Provider as SMTP Relay for all my outgoing mails). It is a lot of fun though, once you get it all to work! And I learned a lot. I wish you luck.

Allright, I’ll keep an eye on it! :-)
Do you want a Virtual Server or are you maybe interested in having your own physical server at home? My first home server was an 8-year-old HP office PC running Ubuntu 16.04 with a Corei5 processor and 8 GB RAM, that I got for 80 EUR and upgraded with a 1 TB SSD. I think it would have managed all that you listed just fine as long as you only have a few users…
https://wiki.debian.org/FreedomBox/Introduction is already part of Debian. You can buy an SBC or run it on a VPS.
