I’ve got very little lemmy experience in general, so this is a bit of an experiment for me.

The experiment is about sharing parenting experiences, and discuss how to survive and enjoy parenting while getting better at it.

It’s also about managing partnerships that may have caused parenting and/or are impacted by it.

Let’s discuss our problems, solutions, and breakdowns.

Parenting has been easily the most intense relationship I’ve had. It’s enjoyable and fu**ing stressful. I wouldn’t want to miss it yet I’d love it to be easier…

Can we work towards this?

Parents of lemmy, unite!

Be careful though. I’ve seen public shaming and threats go down on public parenting forums through topics as heated as “how often do you change your kids bathtowles” and “omg how can you, a mother, put a plastic spoon into your childs mouth!?”. Some parents enjoy hunting lesser parents with knifes and wrath.

Edit: as to say, some things you simply share and discuss with your own parents or friends offline rather than sticking it on the internet where the predictors roam ;)

      Yes for sure.

Definitely no shaming or threats, having kids is stressful enough. Also, where claims are made that certain things are good/bad, I’d suggest that evidence is provided, and that it is presented with an understanding that in order to stay civil, compassion trumps being right.

      Let’s see…
