Being more like android is a mixed bag. it’s familiar for me and it makes it easier to understand out of the box, but it also is an outdated ui design to me. I think that being held back by what people thought was good for a smartphone ui over a decade ago isn’t the best way to go right now. That said though I think that it might be a smart choice and makes sense for kde, and it doesn’t feel out of place considering how much desktop kde is similar to windows.

    yeah, also I’m hoping down the line the flexibility of plasma may allow for more modern and experimental designs and UIs. I remember seeing someone post about making a windows mobile like UI for linux mobile and I’d love to see something like that on a linux phone. I’m not sure how possible it would be to create live tiles in the same way but its linux so anything is possible. Also lomiri adopted gestures way ahead of its time, and it’s another cool take on designing a mobile experience somewhat on its own without just copying android/iOS.
