Einstein was a socialist. Here’s his famous “Why Socialism?” essay. There’s a reason why politics of people like Einstein are never discussed in the west.
Also, he fled Nazi Germany. So he has plenty of experience with fascism too, so when he says how easily capitalism can devolve into fascism, he means it, because he saw it happen and nearly got killed by it (he’s a Jew).
