Context: The post was about how Tiktok was promoting minors sexualizing themselves for men and grooming them for sex work and etc (which I completely agree with). There was a sinophobic comment on the post though for no god damn reason. Everything that’s related to China somehow has an evil plot to it and how they’re trying to sabotage the west. This is yellow peril in the 21st century, and this is a horrific thing to promote. If circumstances were different and ripe, they would be thinking that Jews or other POC are responsible for societies’ woes.
It was also Muslims, and still is depending on geography and political motives. Apparently, the empire is concerned about the Muslims in China, but step over the border and suddenly they are evil again.
