So, stuff I’ve been doing this week:
Currently I’m working on re-organizing and adding a lot more federation integration tests, as @firstname.lastname@example.org security checks for servers to discard incoming activitypub messages that aren’t validated / fail security checks.
I was mainly busy refactoring our activitypub inbox code, which previously consisted of a 1500 line file. Thats impossible to work with, so I split it up into a couple of shorter files. I also implemented federation for the post sticky flag, and a basic activitypub outbox so that sticky flags are sure to be federated.
Other than that, I was busy reviewing all of @dessalines’ changes, cause he’s really fast to code up new things.
A lot of Reddit clients have a feature that lets your hide, or at least deemphasize posts you’ve clicked already. It would be nice to have something like that to keep my front page a little fresher. Just a dream.
Hello , so far i really enjoy using lemmy. One thing that i came up with and annoys me is that , when i scroll down certain amount of post i need to click on go to the next page. I would prefer much more to just scroll and scroll and scroll without worrying about clicking on next page. It is just minor annoyance , but for me personally it would make my experience way enjoyable.
We don’t have infinite scrolling yet.
Yeah , i wanted to make more of a feature suggestion which would make using lemmy more enjoyable.
did you hide the subscriptions on the side? I can’t see them anymore.
Yep, it was really cluttering up the main sidebar. You can still see them both from the communities page, and from your user page.
Thanks, I was subscribed to a lot and I was glad to see it cleared up too
Is there a way to turn off thumbnails? Apologies if so and I haven’t seen it.
You could use some browser extension that lets you modify the site css, and hide it that way.
You mean not show image post previews? No.
Thanks. Not a fan of that. But whatever.
