Like wouldn’t it be aggravating to be called by your old name, no matter what?

    Who else does change names? I guess for trans people it’s insulting their identity and invalidating their gender.

      People normally don’t change name for zero reason, so it could bring up bad memories.

      Best example would be literally any woman who’s been divorced
