Regime change looms in UK as a result of the sanctions

That’s a very misleading title. Partygate is the main cause for all of his controversy, and while the cost of living crisis is certainly a catalyst it is nowhere near enough to get him out on his own. Not to mention, the UK is much in favor of supporting Ukraine, to the point that were there not a Jubilee on in most towns and cities you would see a Ukrainian flag flying alongside - or in replacement of - a British flag.

To say it is “as a result of the sanctions” though is utter bollocks.

Maybe have a rule about keeping the article’s headline? If OP wants to add commentary, there is the body and the comment section for that.

Party gate alone would not have caused the government to fall. It’s the rapidly deteriorating economic situation that’s driving the growing unrest. The support for Ukraine in UK does not translate into the economic cost people are now paying. In fact, if you look at UK media it’s been very careful to avoid connecting the sanctions with the economic blow back that people are experiencing. Utter bollocks is thinking that this is a result of anything other than sanctions.
