    This is something NFTs have had a massive problem with since day one. 1. It’s surprisingly hard to verify if the NFT actually came from the real artist of that piece, and, 2. The real artist is seriously thrown under the bus if an unauthorized NFT gets minted, which is both completely trivial to do and also impossible for the real artist to take down, and worst of all, makes the fake creator money every time that unauthorized NFT gets traded.

    For “piracy is theft” people, they don’t seem to realize that this is well and truly theft in a way that piracy never was.
