I’m dead 😮💨
Meanwhile wages are stagnant and our employers are more profitable than ever. I’m beginning to think inflation (as commonly taught) is an even bigger lie than “communism bad.”
The government where I live (Germany) is giving €300 to every employed person to cover increasing energy prices. Of course the increasing energy prices are almost entirely the government’s fault for setting garbage energy policy, but we can just blame the evil Russians and everyone will go along with it. I’m also not sure €300 covers the increased cost to most people. The bonus actively excludes unemployed, students, and retirees. But fuck those people I guess.

I looked into it at one point and it’s basically due to a lobbying/propaganda campaign from the oil industry, going back to the 1960s. The Soviet development of nuclear power obviously helped in terms of getting western liberals against it, but the campaign was first and foremost profit protection for big oil.
It’s hard to wrap your head around how big this lie is too. The lost potential is mindboggling. In a similar fashion to what incredible things could have been had the industrialized world turned to communism in the first half of the twentieth century, the same goes for the second half of the twentieth century and nuclear power.
But instead of all those nice things, us working people in Germany get €300 this year to go towards ever higher energy bills, and at the legal and policy level gas usage is being locked in for the next century.
Here (Finland) it is estimated that each household will have to spend an extra 500 euro for the whole year for food 😔… Thanks Joe Biden

On the bright-side, Biden has accelerated the decline of the US Empire, and hell maybe this with the overturn of Roe v. Wade might get some libs to radicalize.
Gas is more then the minimum wages in some states of the US right now right?
Where?
